The document attachment (above) contains techniques that each belt level is required to know. The requirements are broken down into three sections: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Beginner belts include white, yellow and orange. Intermediate belts include green, blue and purple. Advanced belts include light brown, dark brown, and red. A student is not expected to know all of the material for the designated experience level group if they are in the 1st belt of the experience level group. For example, a white belt will not be required to know all of the techniques in the "beginner" section. A student will demonstrate the techniques that they have worked on during class at their belt test. However, a student must be able to readily demonstrate all of the techniques in an experience level group, prior to advancing to the next experience level. For example, an orange belt (beginner) will need to demonstrate all of the techniques under the "beginner" section prior to earning a green belt (intermediate). Our goal is to make you, the student, feel confident in the techniques that you have put so much hard work and energy into. Should you have any questions regarding the requirements, please do not hesitate to discuss with an instructor.
*Please Note: Any technique containing a "*" next to it is optional.
